Got a few Hallicrafters, too-An S-27/36, S-39, SX-73. The S-39 is neat, but not much of a radio...The SX-73, if given a decent antenna, will give a certain Collins product thats name starts w/"R" & ends w/"390-A" a pretty good run for its money..Had an SX-25, ended up giving it to a 13-yr-old kid who thought it was the finest thing that ever was...Especially a week or 2 later when he broke his leg & was laid up for awhile...Gave him something to play with..

I remember the old SX-25; it was my receiver for many years. I ended up learning its circuits backwards and forwards.

Another thing I need is an S-meter plug for the S-20R. It's a 5-pin just like on an 807 or other older tube. Can anyone help?

An S-20R parts unit would be very helpful too, with the needed coils and bandswitch wafer and electromagnetic speaker.

Success! Got the receiver working finally. And found an old 40m plugin plate coil with a 5 pin plug that can be used for the S meter. So all is well, apart from some TLC here and there.
