:thmbsp: Best of luck to Tim on this new venture . Let's now all pray that a good 15GP22 somehow finds it's way to Tim's workshop :D

Sure. I mean after all, not everyone has a firing Civil War cannon. Some do, granted, but that's only a fraction of the ones in existence. Kinda like the CT-100.

There used to be a place, Dixie Gun Works, where you could ORDER virtually ANY/ALL kinds of Civil War/Black Powder ordnance... They had a HUGE catalog chock FULL of Neat Stuff.. Like, f'r instance, a Black Powder Mousetrap... They had detailed instructions on how to fire Black Powder stuff.. One of their cannons was set up to fire Vienna Sausage cans filled w/Plaster of Paris...It had a range of "About a mile". Most of them, however, were likely only fired w/Black Powder loads & no projectile, just as noisemakers.

Nah, that's more like trying to get a decent salary out of the higher-ups in charge of the store chain I'm doing a work placement in, or getting any respect out of them. Finding a good 15GP22 and flyback would be a lot easier. ;) It's more like drinking Kearney Lake dry with a straw.

ETF has a beat up chassis, ask Steve if he'll let it go. It doesn't have a flyback or a lot of other parts, but for the sake of appearances...

Kamakiri-

Its nice to see the set taking shape--even if you are just having it for cosmetic reasons!

Had to ask--Why in your signature, are you using a British Bush TV62 picture rather than some of the more exotic and interesting US made sets!

It caught my eye, as Ive just about finished restoring one and modifying it to accept 625 line, instead of its original 405 line. Nice neat sets with good performance, these old Bush 62's
(I'm in fear of being blackballed from UK based TV forums--Because I stuck an HDMI to AV box and socket in it, works with original chassis using it!)

Kamakiri 04-24-2014 05:44 AM

Why? Well, because Wardsweb created my sig line for me about, oh, a decade ago. I've just never changed it. Kinda like Captain Picard, it's just how people know me :D

Yup, just like Sandy with his Lincoln avatar, and me with the Green Hornet's Imperial. It's a badass car for sure and I really like it, but it's not my all-time favorite.

Alastair E 04-24-2014 02:55 PM

Nah--It wasnt the Avatar....

My cabinet has a serial number of 928. Wonder if it's been documented?

David Roper 05-01-2014 11:44 AM

It was documented as a complete set. I would guess the cabinet information isn't published either because of redundancy (with only three digits) or there's been so much mix 'n' match between chassis and cabinets already.
