There Isn't though, that's the thing, and it came that way from the factory. I think the stereo might of been designed to automatically switch the input type according to the kind of audio it detected. :scratch2:

If I am reading the blurry schematic correctly, it appears that there is no “ceramic” switch, but instead, a separate set of input plugs for ceramic cartridges that feed one set of the magnetic cartridge inputs through voltage divider resistors to reduce the voltage level. :scratch2:

That's exactly What I was trying to say, but I wasn't sure how to word it.

And like I said, I apologize for the crappy quality of the Schematic because my receiver when it was given to me came with everything except the original paperwork (it came with the original box and packing materials but the original manuals didn't come with it unfortunately so I had to just download the manuals from HiFi Engine which the quality of the scans aren't that great (about as good of quality as the Rider's Scans on Nostalgia Air.)

Well other stereos I have seen had a SW on the back.
The other possability is a production change. You could contact
jordan pier on U-tube. He is as good as they come with audio.

IIRC you said a Zenith worked OK. Probably has much less output
than a tetrad. The 2-G carts were only used on Zenith rigs, not
ever seen on add ons or other brands. So the phono amp can be
what ever the designers want.

Yes, like I said the Zenith Record Changer was one I had salvaged out of a Junk Console I picked up off the side of the road about a year ago and I had a buddy of mine build me a wooden plinth for it so I could use it as a stand alone unit.

Looked around the internet & the Zenith 2-G carts are well respected.
Said to be as good as many magnetics. AND 2-G aint much weight !
It is a ceramic cart. The other odd ball was RCA used a cart with a
tiny amp built in. Things were $$ in the day.
