2 Weeks to Go

2 weeks to go. Get your tickets now. If you've already bought some, consider buying more.

Electronic M 04-18-2019 11:43 AM

I notice that donated amount is currently 6k and there is a "goal to award prizes 8k" does that mean that if 8 isn't reached before the meet the raffle will just be used by the museum and the set will never be awarded, or will you do this again next year and add this year's raffle tickets to next year's pot.

I'm considering a 3 digit raffle buy in, but I don't want to if that money doesn't get my name in the hat for that set...

captainmoody 04-18-2019 12:19 PM

I have to agree, Tom.

Maybe Steve can weigh in on this one and clear things up.

Steve McVoy 04-18-2019 12:21 PM

Auction Rules

The auction rules say that if ticket sales are $8000 or more, the prize is awarded. If sales are less than $8000, the amount of the sales is divided 50/50 between the winner and the Museum. So if we sell $7000 in tickets, the winner gets $3500 and we keep the set.

captainmoody 04-18-2019 12:41 PM

That sounds pretty fair. Thanks for clearing this up, Steve!

Electronic M 04-18-2019 01:41 PM

I'm okay with that.

kvflyer 04-21-2019 03:44 PM

Fingers crossed, it is getting closer. I have made my "donation".

Here is where it stands now, at 1642 Eastern Daylight time, 4/21/2019

$7,325

Rocket 04-23-2019 07:48 PM

Well I could not resist and made a donation : D

kvflyer 04-24-2019 08:54 AM

As of 9:54 AM, EDT, the total is $7,600. We need another $400!!!

kvflyer 04-26-2019 07:01 AM

Someone PLEASE buy those last tickets! I bought mine.

Steve McVoy 04-26-2019 07:02 AM

Not to worry. We will sell a bunch of tickets at the convention and will be well above the $8,000.

Electronic M 04-26-2019 08:56 AM

I figure once it hits 8k a number of folks are going to jump on it.

Jon1967us 10-19-2021 02:52 PM

Congrats to the winner, and I'm glad we were able to raise a little cash for the museum.

Holey necropost Batman!
You know there's a separate topic for this year's raffle right?
