Admiral 16" bakelite cabinet control door
 

I am looking for a secondary control door(plastic) for an Admiral 16" Rectangular CRT table model set, Model 21B1 from the early 1950s. It measures 6.675" across by 2" high. I recently picked up this set with only this control door missing and a back. I can make the fiber back but the door is an issue. Any leads on where to fine this would be appreciated.

Since someone brought up a similar subject, I have an Admiral set, 17 inch, model 17DX12, uses the chassis 19B1, it's from 1953, and I am also looking for the control door. In the first picture, I show the same model ( it's not my set, though ) with the control door.

Another question, I saw an auction here in Brazil of a guy selling a 21 inch bakelite Admiral in working order. Among the pictures of the TV, there was one of the insides, and you can see that there's no cage protecting the flyback. It's ok? I don't know if I am making a stupid question, but it's safe to put a set like that to work without the cage covering the flyback? I am asking this because mine also came without that cage. Also, the insides of mine look a little beat up, this TV spent years and years resting in the backroom of an old technician with two other 50's TV sets and a lot of antique radios, and it already came without the back cover, with some tubes missing and very dirty inside and outside. I want to know if it's flyback is still good, how can I do that? Anyway, does anybody here have or know someone who has the flyback for that set? It would be wise to have a spare. Restoration of that Admiral is a project that I know many, many years will pass before I start it, but I want to be getting ready until them.
