Elvis has a roundy

Looking into the living room at Graceland Mansion the late home of Elvis is a blonde I believe is a ctc-7. Possibly a 21cd888-7. This set is the most perfect looking television as far as cabinet and presentation. No it was not displaying a picture. It is in a room with a grand piano in dark wood. The stand out blonde RCA color set must have been a favorite for the king to look at.

Is that the model that (according to urban legend) the king liked to perforated with a handgun?

It's a CTC-5, possibly used to watch Snooky Lanson doing Hound Dog on Your Hit Parade :D

I notice this one is missing the "COLOR" decal from the safety glass. I had heard the set that got shot was a CTC-31 but who knows?

Here's one that was featured in the "After Dark" exhibit.

One of those guys that hung with Elvis says that the TV shooting thing just got to be a joke with Elvis, he was never angry when he did it, just a fun luvin' guy.

Gave the impression that Elvis killed MANY a TV set, even in hotels, not just one. :D

Not missing, CTC-5's didn't have 'em

I believe Elvis bought that set when he bought his first house.
I have seen photos of his first house and that very set was in the living room. When he bought Graceland a year or so later
he moved it, after all it was still fairly new.
Elvis also had a RCA 2000 in his bedroom .

I have read more than once that Elvis shot an RCA 2000 during a Robert Goulet broadcast. Of course, repeating a story doesn't necessarily make it true :-)

Gee, you'd think Elvis would have been given a "DELUXE" model, instead of a "SUPER". Maybe RCA was too cheap to part with the better TV. After all, he made millions for RCA's record division.

Some of them did, some of them didn't. I don't know why; perhaps it was a mid-production change.

Thats my favorite CTC-31. Wheres the remote control? Funny how a gun shot TV survived after all these years just because elvis owned it.
As for the 5, I have the exact same model and it does have "COLOR" on the glass.

I'm sorry, but I never thought the sun rose & set in Elvis' rear end like a lot of folks do, but I'd grow some muttonchops & pour half a can of 10W-30 on my hair to get a blonde 5 like that one...Ooooh, bay-bee !
