There is a NOS/NEW 21CYP22A CRT on EBAY. I believe that it will get a lot of attention from fellow Tv collectors. Item number is 3269884886. let the bidding begin!!!

What is at the bottom of the screen? Is that normal or does it get covered by trim or the bezel?

I also wondered about that. I think it just a shadow. They should have propped it up to get it off the table. Says they will post more pics if requested. I will not ask because I do not want to bid.

Here is a picture of the faceplate showing the mark in question on the bottom front. It is not a shadow. I have seen the same mark on later 21FBP22's. I think it is a manufacturing index mark of some sorts. It is not in the active picture area and gets cut off by the set's bezel.

Occurs to me that's a normal thing.....seen that marking before, when I fixed the delamination on my Emerson roundie.

Will this bottle fit my CTC-16? I got a bad case of cataracts even though I drive a Lincoln. :pistols: :yikes: :lmao:

Heathkit,

This tube is a poor choice for a CTC-16. It has no safety glass, so you'd have to find one and install it over the tube. The two ultor connections would have to be wired correctly. The CYP is not as bright as the 21FJP22 your CTC16 should have. I am not sure if any bias circuit changes are necessary in the gun drives but there may be, at least in the red drive circuit as the CYP uses the original phosphors and the red was very inefficient.

...and the number 1 reason you don't want to use this tube.

It will probably be expensive!

'Spensive? Loosey, you no my english is know goodly. But if you thin I'ma gonna spend any centavos your Henna rinse got in too deep! :p:

Thanks for the info Rob, was wondering about the safety glass, or apparent lack thereof, and thought I read somewhere about wiring differences. Just the thought of a NOS tube got me excited! :smsex:
