Motorola capacitor frustration

A little more than 2 weeks ago, I posted a forum topic dubbed "Major Maxnavox and Motorola score today". There were many zealous responces when I posted several pics of the Motorola's chassis, and now, I have begun work on it. So far, I've recorded all the capacitor values, except for the tin-can electrolytic. The problem is, its a 4 chamber cap, with 4 different voltage and mfd. ratings. Heres where it gets annoying: there is no way of deciphering which is the voltage rating and which is the capacitence rating. However, the little symbols like O, D, ect. do have numbers next to them; could these be the mfd ratings? It seems logical, but I'm a n00b and dont want to make any major mistakes, so be kind :sigh:

The numbers are nearly always *MFD @ *VOLTS
the symbol after that tells you which leg it is.

i.e 100 10 D would be 100 MFD @ 10 Volts and the terminal marked with a D on the bottom.

If you look at the bottom of the cap there will be corresponding markings next to the legs of the capacitor.

They will either be stamped in the phenolic base or there will be small cutouts right next to the leg.

The marks on a 4 section cap are usually a D, a triangle, a square and one with no marking at all.
