huge magnavox roundie combo - detroit cl
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/atq/1385214176.html
The ad says it's a GE, but it's a Magnavox. Lots of b/w sets too, like this Zenith porthole combo: http://flint.craigslist.org/atq/1415493503.html. The detroit cl is just full of sets if you go to "antiques" and search for "tv". |
Ha ha. I wonder why they say the tv is a GE but the stereo is a Magnavox?? You should grab that Adam, there's not many Maggie roundie combos. That one looks nice too.

BTW bring that hearse I might need a ride when I am done lifting that thing does it come with a casket or should they just put me in the TV?

bet that thing is a 1/4 ton easy, nice set, I am looking at one of those a little closer to home. no fun to work on if you are a newb to repair, LOTS of wiring, LOTSA LOTSA LOTSA wiring.
Def SS on the tuner, I have a B&W with that tuner, decent sound but may need transistors seems they dont hold up so well on the driver, if it hisses that will be why. on the tuner you can adapt is so there is two rca jack for L and R, then drive the audio direct from a audio source (dvd, tape, conv box etc) dont use the audio from the TV at all. That way you get true stereo sound with the tv pic. not a hard mod, you just need to add a rca jack, mod the selector switch a bit (cut a wire to separate the two channels, replace a couple resistor (use one for each channel half the orig value of the one on the combined channel) and there you go. |
Cool, I will have to get it apart and do some looking, I am going to test it on another tv pick up I am going to back it right up to the guys door he said he will do testing right in the Uhaul.
