As bad as this picture of a picture is, can anyone tell me what TV is in the background, I say RCA others say not. I am not even sure who the family members are in it LOL

Looks like a CTC 12 to me.

reeferman 11-17-2009 09:44 PM

my money is on a-15

drh4683 11-17-2009 09:48 PM

I say CTC-12 clone. Doesn't look like an RCA control panel to me. Maybe an Admiral or Sears CTC-12 clone?

It's an old, "roundie" color TV set, I think that's what they call 'em... Seems like they quit makin' 'em around 1975 or so...My uncle Hubert was a TV repairman, I THINK that's what he told me...

reeferman 11-18-2009 09:58 PM

They didn't make a -13 or a -14

Here it is sharpened up and contrasted a little.

Doesn't help identify the set much but you can really tell that's a Gold Medal Flour ad on the screen!

I'm having Sylvania thoughts....

Photo attached from the 1964 General Electric catalogue.

Had an uncle in Riverside California that had a GE color set back around 1964.
Don't know if GE used a RCA clone chassis but the color really sucked compaired to RCA.

Those GE's were stylish! Not many around these days. They were clones-I'm not sure if the General ever built a roundie of its own design?

reeferman 11-25-2009 10:52 PM

my money is still on a -15

It's cousin Tracy and birthday girl Angie, on her 4th... 1966. There is an old color TV in the background.
