I have seen these in fancy gardens. they are marked with numbers to indicate time... the point should be aimed to true north for proper operation. Doubt if it works very well inside the house.

There is another unusual clock above the fireplace, which I believe is a gravity clock of some sort. The clock is "wound" by placing it at the top of the ramp. As the movement (which is weighted so that it remains upright) travels down the ramp the clock runs. when it reaches the bottom of the ramp it is "wound" by moving it back to the top.

The first pic looks like an RCA CTC5 Aldrich model. I like the house too! The Zenith porthole also kicks ass!:D I don't think the combo is color but sure looks nice.

Couple of things that strike me funny about the Uhf converter/Philco tv picture:

The TV is in a metal cabinet but the RCA UHF converter is in a wood cabinet...

The TV is "UHF Ready", it was a simple field job to remove the center plate and install a Philco converter.

That roundie b/w Zenith is so awesome I am speechless. Exudes class!!!!

Very nice photo of the TV shop. I find it interesting how they would sell a whole laundry list of brands, which always makes me wonder how they could fit them all in the store!

The porthole is an early model. All are great photos-thanks for posting!

Are any of the residences, or the TV shop, shown in these pictures still around, or were most of them destroyed or badly damaged in Katrina? :scratch2: If they were destroyed, it's a darn shame, as those living rooms screamed elegance.
