Ct-100

Hi guys
There is a ct-100 for sale in Tonawanda NY. The set is complete other than the hi voltage cage cover and some tubes. I did take the hardware off the crt but could not find anything that looked like the getter. Not even the milky white one you would see if the tube went to air?? I did not want to fire up the crt heaters in case the tube had air in it. The owner seemed cool about doing it but did not want to take the risk. As you can see the cabinet has water damage but the chassis is not rusted that bad. It needs a lot of work but is one cool set. The owners name is Allen and his E mail is allenroth at juno.com. Good luck and I hope one of you guys on here gets it. Ed |
Interesting channel indicator knob on that CT-100. Looks like the one used on the model-5....?

Getter flashes on a 15GP22 are sometimes quite small in comparison to what you might expect. My gut says this may be an early production set. Sure would like to know the chassis serial number: B800???? or even possibly B111????.

Looks like a good project set for some serious restorer. I believe Ed means Tonawanda, N.Y. near Buffalo. Ed, perhaps you could post the serial # and cabinet #'s as Pete mentioned.
Thanks, -Steve D. |

Sorry about the spelling. Ed |
The chassis serial number is stamped in the metal under the big flat resistor on the back. The one in this photo starts with B800.

"The chassis is a ct2B and the number on the cabinet is 805."
ct 2b??? are you sure? I think that Ctc2B is the 21" version of the set.:scratch2: The serial number is located below the big power resistor on the back of the chassis... sorta visible in the contrast enhanced picture. It can be seen even when the back is in place, through a little window. jr Update... I see Phil beat me with a better pix... oh well! |
Lucky guys, how are all these CT100's showing up all the sudden??
|
The Klingons, Borg, Romulans, & Talosians have all finished using them for their experiments....(grin)

Hi guys.
Here is the deal, I am going over to look at the ct 100 on Tuesday. Allen wants me to fire up the crt heaters and see if the tube is any good. Also I will get the serial # and re check the ct #. When I get the results I will post on here. Ed |

The SN on the set is B8002175. Ed |
I emailed him a few day ago. He replied that the getters were milky white. The tube is ovbiously full of air. $5000 is way out in left field price wise. A nice restored set with a good crt, went for about $5K last year on e-bay.
I think Allen will be sitting on his set for quite some time until he gets real bout the price. |
ct 100
Harry Posters ctc4 at 1550.00 was better deal and more reliable.. Also crts are around.
