General Electric 21C700 featured in 1970 GE ad

G'day all.

I accidentally stumbled upon this classic General Electric TV commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRz8c95bmaM

In this commercial at the beginning, on display is a 1956/57 General Electric 21C700 colour TV set which was there to illustrate GE's beginning of colour television then followed up with later model sets to illustrate the improvements in colour TV technology, the commercial is primarily about GE's newly developed "One Touch Color System" which is an auto colour correcting system and I guess automatic tuning control as well, very good innovation in technology!!!

Great commercial-the third set, at 13 seconds, is very similiar to the one I grew up with. Funny that I'd never heard of the One Touch Color System.

I should know the name of that gentleman-famous for "With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good!" among many other things. But he starred in some things, too...EDIT: Mason Adams. Figured it would come to me sooner or later! On further thought, I remember some radio show dating from around that time, it may have been about the history of NBC or radio in general? It was sponsored by GE and the ads had to do with the progress that had been made over the years. They talked about iceboxes and monitor-top refrigerators, and then about the latest frost-free side-by-side refrigerators, that sort of things. Anyway, I am almost certain that Mason Adams did all those spots. They were done in a folksy manner and were about as interesting to me as the program!

The same host has a 1975 ad for Zenith TVs here:
