radiola

I recently picked up another radiola with a perfect tuner wheel. I was thinking about using the wheel to make a lead patern, then that patern could be used over and over, casting new ones out of alumnium. How much of a demand is there for these wheels?

Probably some.
I know I have an old Crosley that could use three new tuning wheels, and an Akai M8 reel-to-reel that needs 2 new cams. All were made of potmetal.
Too bad this is something that all of the parts/restoration places don't offer-even a CAD or drafted drawing so someone could make their own.

The only problem is finding a original piece to make a pattern from. But once you get a pattern you can make them anytime. Most original patterns I have seen were made from brass, and slightly larger then the pieces that was cast from them, because of shrinkage. Lead on the other hand does not shrink, cast iron shrinks the most.
