When I was in college back about 1986 I was on a field trip in Connecticut and we were heading back to Mass in the school van when we saw someone come screaming through a right turn at an intersection in a yellow Corvette. He made it about 20' past the turn when the car basically exploded in a cloud of smoke and rolled to a stop. We noticed that the car had dealer plates on it. Either someone lost their job that day or someone just became the owner of a yellow Corvette with a blown engine.
