Magnavox 50MF231D/37 Power Problem
 

I bought this TV for $20 to fix up. The previous owner "replaced" the usual two 3300uf/10v caps already. I repaired the botched repair job and put two caps of my own in and it still doesn't function.

Here's what happens:
1. Plug it in. I do not press the power button.
2. Two LEDs on the power supply come on (Fig.A)
3. Same two LEDs turn off accompanied by what sounds like two relays clicking off.
4. The LED on the smaller daughter board blinks 6 times and repeats endlessly. (Fig.B)
5.LED on front of TV is Green and any USB stick plugged into the service port lights up.
6.A faint hissing can me heard coming from the power supply.
7.Press the power button
8.Front LED and light on USB stick turn off.
9.A faint whining can be heard coming from the power supply in the circled area. (Fig.C)
10. The whine is rhythmic and is in sync with the blinking led in Fig.B.

remove the power plug to the y-sus board and see if it stays on but you wont have a picture
