i need help finding new caps
 
ok, so i decided im going to do the re-cap on my voice of music. now, im still new at this, but so far ive been pointed in the right direction. im going to replace the 4 paper caps inside, but i cant find the values i need. these are the following, what will work for substitution? thanks!

.047 UF400v
.01 UF 400v
.003 UF 400v

I am surprised you can't find those. .05 will do for .047 but .047 is more common. .003 is rare so you may need .0033.

Convert to nanofarads, .047 = 47 nF, etc. and you might have better success.

Mouser, Digikey, Jameco, all the distributors have these values. Or go to All Electronics.

And, it's perfectly OK to use 630V caps. For the replacement caps, you can go higher on the working voltage and 630V is pretty much the common standard today.

You can order all kinds of capacitors on e-bay. Today they a lot smaller, but as long as the MFD and voltage rating is at least or above the original rated voltage usually they work fine. Just search for the value under consumer electronics. I have a lot of small green caps off e-bay that work fine for replacing the old wax caps. Shipping is usually free.
