RCA 630TS Cabinet trim Colors

Halloween Project
can anyone tell me what the actual Trim Colors of a RCA 630TS Cabinet are? is the front mask suppose to be a dark brown or is it stained a darker color than the rest of the Cabinet, I see the Trim is also Darker, everyone that I had was missing so many parts here and there that I never really noticed in the past.
Thanks!
Terry

I suggest Mohawk toner lacquer. Brown Mahogany (M100-0229) for the vertical, angled trim and Deep Red Mahogany (M100-0384) for the very dark trim and CRT mask.

Here are some photos of an original finish.

Halloween Project:
Thank you for the trim Color .
removing paint is a pain and messy, this took forever to get it this far. the chassis is in Excellent condition though, since I got all the crappy Green paint off.
it's now time to send the cabinet off to a restorer as I have never Finished a Cabinet
the 2nd picture is with all the Crappy green removed, it's actually in Excellent condition under all that paint from the 60's.
I think it is Walnut?? it's too light of wood .. maybe someone knows this also..I don't think it's Mahogany
almost all the tubes are original, it performs great, bearing in tuner is gone, so I will open it up sometime and hope only the bearing fell out and the Holder is not broken.
this set is one of my favorites.

I've had three 630's over the years and have seen many others - all originals and all with a walnut finish. I don't believe there was options on that '46 model. I had a '48 8TS30 that was mahogany. I think at that point there was the typical mahogany, walnut, and blonde options.

Hello, wiseguy!

So you're the one who bought the green 630TS that was on Craigslist. You've made tremendous progress! I'm glad to see that it wound up in good hands :thmbsp:

Best of luck,

Clark
