GPL Precision 1000 Camera

Hi Guys:
I picked up a GPL Precision 1000 camera on eBay a few years ago. I didn't expect much for what I paid. I didn't get much either. I knew the cable and manual were missing. Even the guys that sell TK-10's and 11's for $5000 don't have cables anymore. I recently plugged the head directly into the CCU, added sync, bl, Hdr, &Vdr. On my wfm I can see a huge hum in the supply. I opened the box up and found an h-rate driven switching supply form about 1966!!! (Many of the components have date stamps on them). I added a new filter cap and enough hum went away that I could see on the pix mon and wfm deflection was non-sync even with sync applied. I traced the cables and found they lead to PC edge connectors with no boards. Internal sync was an option but it needs some kind of H&V Drive buffer to go to deflection. So if any of you could tell me of any one that has documentation, whole books or just schematics, pieces, parts, or anything for this thing I would very much appreciate it. I know it isn't a TK-41, It doesn't even have a viewfinder. But someday I'll tel you how bad it feels to loose two TK-41's. Thanks, Bill also karlwhansen@yahoo.com

You might want to check with Richard Dehil. He runs a site web 'Labguy's World' and is an expert on early VTRs. He also collects vintage video cameras so he may be able to help you.
