RACS Equipment Purchase
Thanks to generous donations from collectors all around the world, including many from this forum, we now have the funds to purchase the RACS equipment and ship it to the Museum.

That's really great news! I'll be at your convention. I really hope
to some day get a CT100 or 21CT55 or pre-WWII set and having a rebuilder operating is a great peace of mind builder and pocketbook opener. I just wish I lived closer to you (I'm 4-5 hours away) as I am a vacuum person and would love to help. |
Hi Steve. Glad to hear that you got the equipment. Not too many people around the world who can do it!
BTW, VK truncated the hyperlink so it goes dead. Could you post it again, please? Thanks! |
Hope they can get an "Old Hand" to help set it up, & show how to work it... I would imagine this is something of a "Black Art" & would take someone VERY knowledgeable to use it..

Hey Steve that is great news see you next week...Timothy

This is great news. I wish you all the best with the equipment.
|
Awesome!!!

Great news, this is the same equipment they used to rebuild the 15GP22?
I suppose everything is labeled in French? :tresbon: |
Yes, in French. More of a problem is that some of the motorized equipment runs on 3 phase European voltages.

If there's no three phase available and if the motors are smaller than 5HP, you can get Variable Frequency drives for single phase. Or you can get a rotary phase convertor. My vote is for the VFD. :thmbsp: |

No 3 phase power. The easiest solution is to replace the motors.
