Need Help With Ranser Console Tube AM

Some of you may have seen this over on AK:

Tube AM, dead, only 910Khz and noise... Can we fix it?

It's from AK member elnado who may not have a membership over here on VK. It's posted in "tuners" but because it's tube we could benefit from you antique radio guys. Please have a look and help out. Thanks. :thmbsp:

Having a look at the schematic he posted, this radio needs an external antenna. Where to connect the antenna can be determined by comparing the schematic to the actual radio. An external antenna is shows at the top left of the schematic. A loop antenna will NOT work with this radio. It needs a long piece of wire about twenty feet (six meters) long which can just be run along the floor or ceiling in the room. Try the long antenna wire before trying anything else.
