Travler Pushbutton Tv
1 Attachment(s)
I have a Travler push button TV from 1950. Other than the Sams, I cant find out much about it. The pushbuttons have numbers and the letters spelling out Travler Radio. The chassis is real sparse, like a Muntz TV. Has anyone else seen this and is it difficult to find? My 16" crt is dead as well. I've since cleaned it up and the finish is in great condition.

Ive never seen that model, but there is a Bendix set with similar pushbutton tuner. http://earlytelevision.org/bendix_235-miu.html

Is the the same set being discussed on ARF ? http://antiqueradios.com/forums/view...p?f=3&t=276248

That's funny, because that post from that sight isn't from me. I guess I know there's two of them out there. Mine is in St. Louis and I definitely plan on restoring it one day...provided I can find a 16" replacement crt.

I remember they had a real deep chassis. My neighbor had a Travler set, a little newer with a 16TP4 and a one tube continuous tuner. Only set I seen with a one tube tuner, a 12AT7. :scratch2: |

Ok this set uses the 16ap4 picture tube. The sams says this set came in a 10" and 12" version too. The chassis is real deep as was mentioned.

Steve,
Thanks for the offer. Does the 16dp4 cross with the 16ap4? It doesn't say so in my substitution booklet. Thanks, Scott |
|
Steve,
I sent you an email on price. Thanks |
