looking for Zenith F2-735W Schematics
 

This is my first post here, mostly because this will be the first television I plan on restoring. I've done a few radios, and larger consoles, so naturally this seems like the next progression.

I am looking for these schematics, Sams shows either a 525-2 or 557-2. Is there any Zenith service information available?

Going to look at this set tomorrow and would like a little more information to go on.

On most TVs the chassis number is a better identifier than the model (since the same chassis number would be stuffed in dozens of cabinets each cabinet getting it's own model number). On Zenith TVs the chassis number is usually on a big sticker on the back of the HV cage and will be starring you right in the face when you take the back off. The chassis # should be two digits, two letters and two more digits (unless it is a late 60's/newer set that uses tubes AND transistors)....For instance 29JC20 16HQ19, etc.

And put a pix of the chassis up. When you dont remember
the chassis ##'s you can relate to the pix. Also the sets
evolved very slowly over the years so problems are often the same.
Many old Zeniths found that havnt run for years are working or need
very little work. Good luck

It is a 16F23 Chassis, with a 23ANP4 Tube.

Not holding out much hope for finding Zenith Service Info, but can anyone tell me the difference between the Sams? 525-2 or 557-2

A Zenith BW tv manual from 1961 likely contains your info. They are OFTEN on ebay. They contain MORE than one chassis.

I was able to find a stack of Zenith service manuals from the 1960's on ebay, one of which contained the info I was looking for.

Those are the best B&W sets ever built by anyone,
any time & any place.

Keep in mind the CRT is attached to the chassis &
comes out as a unit. 4 big screws in the bottom,
4 1/4 inch near CRT corners. Lay it on its side
on the bench & you can do anything to it.
