Pilot TV-37 trimmer cap value
Anyone know the values of the Horizontal Linearity and Horizontal Size trimmer caps (the ones accessed from the top of the chassis)? I'm helping a friend with his set, and I don't see this information on any of the documentation I have.
Or, better yet, anyone got a parts chassis willing to sell one of those trimmer assemblies? Thanks! -- Dave Sica |
Pilot TV-37 horizontal trimmer cap values
I'm currently working on a Pilot TV-37. I have been having trouble with the horizontal linearity, and I found that the adjustment cap was having no effect, so I figured it might be bad. I pulled the entire dual cap assembly out (horizontal linearity and width adjustments) thinking that I might have to replace it. But it turned out that the adjustment screw had come unthreaded and was just loose. When I threaded the screw back in, it worked fine. I checked with my capacitance meter, and the cap had a range of about 90 to 200 pf. The horizontal linearity is still not perfect, but is much better now. The horizontal linearity adjustment is at maximum, so I'll probably try adding some fixed capacitance in parallel. I didn't think to check the horizontal size cap, but the two look like identical twins, so I'm guessing it has the same range.
