1964 Zenith 19" fixed today

This set has been down for some time and couldnt figure out why. Thought to open up the metal box to the right and was surprised to see the A2S2 tube had backed out of its socket. Pushed back in and works good now.

For doing nothing to it, sure has a beautiful picture.

Just a few minor tweaks but yeah its a great set.

I wish I had your luck Lol!

It worked finecwhen i got it from the dump other than the yoke had slid back and rotated a bit. I do know it had been thrown when dumped but theres no damage. It may have came loose a bit from the impact and i guess it was still making contact when i first got it. Moving it around must have knocked it out the rest of the way. Didnt know till today.

That was the high-end set that year, just below the Space Command.
Does it have the timer clock on the side?

Nope. Model number is M2109U.

I think he means 2AS2. I've never seen or heard of an "A2S2" tube. The 2AS2 would be the HV rectifier. A word of caution: Don't try to measure the filament voltage. This tube will have the full 2nd anode voltage on the filament, which of course will ruin any multimeter in no time flat.
