Old Sony DVD Demonstration Video from '97
 

A few weeks ago I found a Sony demo DVD meant to play in-stores in 1997 at the format's launch at a thrift shop. The video is hosted by Andy Pargh with clips from movies and details on the format. I uploaded it on YouTube.

Pretty cool. Tough to believe it is almost 20 years old and close to being obsolete.

Technically it's been obsolete for years, but I get what you're saying. It still outsells Blu-ray handily and will likely be around for years to come even with streaming becoming the new norm.
