What Kind of Radio Did Churchill Have?
Hey gang. I'm doing a research project for, well, a museum actually. I'm looking for what kind of radio Churchill might have had in his office, home study, living room, whatever. If you search the web for "Churchill radio" you get tons of stuff about his speeches on the radio. It's been hard to find anything written or in pictures that might give a clue.
Other than Pye, I don't even know of any British manufacturers. :scratch2: Any info, or advice? |
How about contacting the people who maintain his home?

Good idea!

Instead of "Churchill radio" , maybe try searching "Churchill's radio" and see if anything comes up ? |
^^ Good idea but no dice. Same results.
I sent an email to the Natl Historic Trust which caretakes the Chartwell residence, hopefully they will forward it to a Churchill expert. I feel certain there is a photo out there somewhere or an account of what he had. Or there could be a radio sitting in his study at Chartwell for all I know. |
Churchill`s house is a museum in the south London area. I remember that I was one village away from his home about 20 years ago.
I didn´t had the time to visit it because I was hunting 405 lines roundies and records in London. There has to be one. Regards, TV-collector |
