Sony SL-HF450 Betamax VCR won't load tapes
 

I recently received a Sony SL-HF450 from a seller on eBay who had, in the listing, photos of it working and giving video signal to a monitor. All of the electrics of it seem to be fine. However, when I try to gently insert a tape, the right side of the cassette catches. I think a small bar on the tape loading mechanism is preventing the mechanism from loading the tape. How do I fix this? Is there some sort of setting I have to change for it to accept and load tapes?

Well, looks like this thread is no longer needed, as of now. Looks like I was simply putting the tape in too slowly. It loads and ejects as it should.
