My God what a beautiful thing. From the photos, it looks to be in fantastic condition. I just can't justify the expense or spare the space right now but what a fantastic opportunity. Maybe the ETF would be interested??? It's an hour and a half drive for me but my marriage would be severely strained. The mahogany crotch panels on the cabinet doors are beautiful and they're pocket doors to boot!

Sorry...it's a KCS-25 chassis not a CTC-16

I sorta wish CTC-16 combos took up so little floor space. :D

Seems to me that it's worth that for the cabinet refinish it doesn't need alone, never mind it being a nice example of a late fortys roundy combo console.

It would depend on how good the 10BP4 is I guess, and the FBT & power transformer to a lesser degree, yes, agreed a good exterior can fetch a decent price, but as the CRTs become more unobtainium, that will be the first thing I tend to look at, I was lucky with my fada 895 cause I knew it sat for 30+ years idle and the 12LP4 in it would be very strong.

Oh please…you’re killing me. I bought a NOS 10BP4 from the ETM CRT list! I’m so tempted but I can’t I can’t I can’t!

All the parts in the TV are common and easy to get including the 10BP4 so don't let that stop you :D

That is great news, especially that the 10BP4 CRT is still available at this time. This particular RCA television is very rare and deserves to be restored at almost any cost. RCA was a pioneer in electronic television in this country, so any antique TV made by RCA certainly does deserve to be brought back to life, even if it takes some doing.

they have not had any on the list for a while now, not that I need one, but I do look from time to time out of curiosity, thus I mentioned it, there IS one for a high price on evil-bay.

You need to go an ETF swapmeet. That list is only the museum's inventory. Individual sellers have a bunch.

If it wasn't a 1300 mile drive from here, I'd would think about doing it some time!
