CHRS Antique TV Event 6/10/23

CHRS Antique TV Event
————————————————

Date: Saturday, June 10

Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Place: CHRS “Radio Central”, 2152 Central Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501

Our annual TV event returns again for 2023. The day's schedule will include presentations, demos, display of working antique TVs, lunch, and plenty of time to hob-nob with fellow antique TV enthusiasts.

To get an idea of what this event is like, take a look at videos of last year's event here:

Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvpMQG4ABp8&t=12s

Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpONMMRezcE

The event is free of charge and open to both CHRS members and non-members. In past years we've had participants from Oregon and Nevada, as well as our locals from Northern California. If you're willing to travel to the Bay Area, you are welcome to attend. If you're not already on our email list and would like to be included, send me a PM for more details. If you plan to attend, send me a PM so that we can plan for the right number of people.

Will presentations be recorded and available on line?

Tom Albrecht 06-11-2023 06:58 PM

Yes, they were recorded. There will be some post-processing of the video and it should be posted in the near future. I'll provide the link when it becomes available.

Thanks! Looking forward to it.

Part of me was tempted to attend (besides distance and a general disdain of California), but I probably did better this Saturday here in the Midwest than I would have done there.

I got a TRK12 and a factory Chrome cabinet Zenith CCII metal table model...Two major holy grail sets for me... I'm at the point that besides 3 rare Avanti cabinet variants I probably won't be buying any Zenith CCIIs to keep...And I can finally check pre-war TV off my bucket list.
