TONIGHT - SEPTEMBER ONLINE MEETING OF THE EARLY TELEVISION MUSEUM COMMUNITY

SEPTEMBER 30 AT 8 PM EDT

OUR SEPTEMBER MEETING WILL FEATURE FOUR SEGMENTS: FIRST, STEVE MCVOY WILL UPDATE NEWS OF THE EARLY TELEVISION FOUNDATION, FOLLOWED BY A LOOK AT AN ITEM IN THE MUSEUM'S COLLECTION.
Jonathan Allen will host our September meeting from the Sarnoff Collection at TCNJ (The College of New Jersey.) The Sarnoff Collection is named in honor of David Sarnoff, longtime chairman of the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) and internationally renowned pioneer in radio and television. The Collection comprises over 6,000 artifacts that document major developments in communication and electronics in the 20th century. Dr. Allen will showcase some artifacts in the collection, with an emphasis on RCA television history.
Then we will have an open topic discussion. Feel free to introduce any topic you are interested in.

In the open discussion, Dave A and Julian Burke discussed a piece of telecine related gear they had seen. I think it was this Opaque Pickup Assembly (from a1961 RCA catalog).
