Hello All, new here.

I have a 1950's cabinet TV that I bought many years ago at an antique shop going out of business. It came with an antenna and even a jade leopard TV lamp. The TV is not functional and the power cord was scary, like it would burst into flame just plugging it in.

It's branded "Hudson" for the Hudson Department Store in Detroit, but trying to find who actually manufactured it, and if there are any schematics available.

No model shown on the deteriorating label, but someone once wrote "WG 070". I once thought maybe it was a Bendix, but now wondering if it's Wells Gardner.

Any thoughts, or can anyone provide direction?

Hi Jeff, welcome to VK :thmbsp:

Figured I'd give your thread a bump here to see if any of the TV guys in the know will answer your question. I know a fair bit about tube TV electronic repairs, but I don't know the history of who made what.

I feel like if I had time to comb through my early 50s Sam's I'd be able to find something, but I don't have the time.
There books out there that have tube layouts that you can use to ID mystery chassis, but AFAIK I don't have a copy.
