DVD video burning software neee help
I have been trying to find a decent DVD video burning software. My luck so far is not good as my new PC runs Linux Ubuntu and I have an old laptop that runs windows 7. I have a copy of cyber link but it's older and doesn't support what my videos are in encoded in as they are mkv. I tried souththink DVD maker and it worked for bit and then it just broke as the software won't let me add any mkv it just says can't add. So I'm trying find a peace of DVD video burning software that just works.

I have used NERO software on my PC for DVD software. I have 2 versions.
It does not work on Linux or Blu-ray discs. |

However, there's probably other DVD burning programs for Linux that'd function better. |
I don't know if it will do .mkv but I have been using DVD Flick with excellent results. I tried it in 2021 and have burned several thousand hours of video with it since then. I've been using it with Windows XP SP3. What I like the best about it is the adjustable bitrate so if I want to I can cram about 6 or 7 movies onto one DVD.
Everything I have converted to DVD has been MP4 or AVI so I don't know if it will convert MKV files but you could always convert them to MP4 then to DVD. |
You could use ffmpeg to convert the files to something your software recognizes.
