Damn I would have guessed you Radio geeks to know this one. Oh well back to google

I would guess early to mid 1950s; prolly will sound a helluva lot better than you'd think it would when you get it running. Unfortunately, my "Grinder's" don't list foreign sets. How many tubes does it have?-Sandy G.

Its got 10 tubes.

The location of the "magic eye" is a puzzler. Are you sure it's a Telefunken? (I can't make out the tag under the piano keys.)

[Edit: Quite similar to the Siemens Luxussuper 54, though.]

It says Siemens on the bottom. For some reason I was under the impression Tele and them were one in the same. That and the radio loods a lot like most Telefunkens radios of that time period.

As I understand it, in the early '40s AEG took over Siemens's share in Telefunken (and Siemens got AEG's stake in Klangfilm). I'm hardly an expert on this, though.

There's photos of the Luxussuper 54 here. My best guess is that the cutie you have there is an export version of the same radio, sans longwave. It looks like the model number is 1135W either way, based on this site.
