Finally got around to working out the vertical bugs on the CTC-11 I got from you. A few leaky film caps that got worse with heat. The freeze mist didn't really reveal the problem until I stuck a few meters on the pins of the vertical output tube. The plate voltage would decrease slightly with warmup and the screen voltage was fluctuating slightly. If I shot the coupling caps with some freeze mist the fluctuation would stop.
I recapped the board and the problems went away. Just because they're film caps doesn't mean they're impervious to failure. They are 46 years old!
Have to touch up the convergence again, and the CRT is a bit tired, but it still lookin good! Its a daily watcher.
