I'm not worried about re-stuffing the cap. My concern is the coil around it... not screwing it up when I heat up the cap. I'd really like to try sliding the coil off the cap so that i can comfirm the value of the cap. The schematic and parts list have a minor discrepancy between the two, but I'm thinking there's a typo error on the part's list.

I can't really get a good picture of the knobs on the Sams. I'll put that on the back burner for now. Come to think of it, the other Motorola I saw at Canton was a 17" model and about the same year... maybe off by a year. It probably used the same knobs this one does or damn close to it.

I'll give my toaster oven a try! Thanks!
