Yeah, high "Buy It Now" doesn't work too well in this economy. I find it's best to set the starting price at the minimum you'd be happy with. This forces reluctant buyers (who really want the item) to step up and bid and then you'll often find the price doesn't go too much higher. But you have to have a knowledge of realistic present market prices (easy for most items but tough, I admit, for rare pieces like that camera).
