To restore/not to restore, I like the high road you are taking. These old color TVs are a dwindling resource, and the careful consideration you give your CRT is a good thing - I'm gonna follow your example on my weak CTC-16 CRT - I'm gonna leave it alone. Crappy grayscale when cold, but warms up to a decent pix.
And I like your new addition to our lexicon - "
De-cat" (post 78 in the thread) Simpler to type than Cataract Removal!
