in the beginning i tried 2 damper tubes 2 6dq5 hot and 3 shunt tubes so i think its ok to say its not those tubes. the overall brightness is bright very good and i tried another video out tube. well i have checked all grounds at the time i had the chassis out unless maybe i missed one trace on the board. what i do have that i cannot get rid of is these retrace type lines and they are color lines and with color down they still show. and no i dont remember how to check shunt tube current or what pins to check on the hot for the drive voltage. so not enough hv could be caused by not enough drive voltage or current?
