Yeah, I did take out an extended warranty years ago at CompUSA when they were around for an external CD burner I bought. I had 5 weeks left in a 2 year extended warranty and it died, the staff told me to pick out a new one that was for the same price, I still have it after 6 or 7 years and still use it.
