If you drive the paper cone tweeter off the same place as the PAPER CONE WOOFER, with a series crossover cap it WILL BE perfectly SAFE, and I'm confident most here are smart enough to do it the way I just described.
I like the e-stats better, but if a paper cone is what you got to replace a bad e-stat with why not.
