You'd think that CBS would have RX90s or at the very least be using the 15HP22 tubes in the units they had in their studios.

I wondered about this myself. CBS had already purchased RCA color broadcasting equipment. Perhaps this was the most convenient way to supply color receivers for their early color monitor needs .
