you are right about the hole for the 6K6, i got turned around ( :/) but there is a plate in the way, you just cant see it , i must get better pics.
you can see a screw for it in this top view in one of the holes for the 6K6 socket.

I wish there was a SAMS for this, it is just different enough.
also, finding a 1m center-tapped pot may be tricky...
