[ESigma25]

I replaced the belts in this unit tonight and it will now fast forward and rewind but it will not play. It tries to play but the tape somehow slips after a few seconds and the unit stops turning the tape, rewinds to remove the slack, and then just sits there. I don't know what's wrong at this point, I've never seen a VCR do this before.

EDIT: right after I hit "Submit" I tried again and it started playing the tape just fine. Okay then!

EDIT 2: After playing a tape for a few minutes I've completely lost my picture, but still have audio. I tried another tape and I've got the same problem.

EDIT 3: Got the video back with a vigorous head cleaning. Guess the heads were dirtier than I thought...
