Sanyo VCR4400 Betamax doesn't play tapes
I just recently got a Sanyo VCR4400 Betamax player in dirty but otherwise solid condition. After some serious internal and external cleaning I gave it a try but it doesn't play tapes. It does thread tapes but when you try to play it makes this strange...squealing noise and then just gives up. Is this just a case of bad belts or could there be something worse?
