I have a Panasonic TH42P-something that looks just as good as when my brother-in-law bought it in 2004, IIRC. He was going to recycle it after getting his parents hand-me-down. It is a heavy sucker too, like nothing made today!
I use a Samsung DTB-H260F set-top box that outputs component video, a perfect match to this Panny which has no DVI/HDMI input.
A prescaler did not work on this either, so no blu-ray players. It works just fine on a regular DVD though.
