A local friend of mine is a TV collector, vacuum collector (mostly Kirby, but many others), lawnmower collector (mostly Lawnboy) and has a few vintage cars. He lives in the house that used to belong to his late grandparents and has kept the interior mostly it's original mid-century design.
I know of a couple of other TV collectors that are into vacuums too.

I used to collect vacuums as a kid (I also collected rotary phones, fans, typewriters, antique bottles, etc). I had more than radios before I got into that hobby (radios eventually progressed into TVs). I'd like to say I have 3 antique vacuums left in my hoard of stuff but I'm not exactly sure if I still have all of them or have forgotten something...
The phones and fans are are probably the only collecting habit the radios and TVs didn't kill, granted I don't but or sell much that doesn't have vacuum tubes inside anymore. In the last few years my friend who's a vacuum cleaner collector in advertently sparked a new collecting hobby cool looking mid-century lamps ...He had a few that I thought were cool/wanted to buy and since then on antiquing trips I started paying attention to lamps and buying them when style and price are right.
If I was on firm enough financial grounds to own a house I'd probably own something from the 30s-60s and have all it all original with period appliances and furnishings.
