not sure if those caps are gonna change anything, prob was a waste of time/ $$$ as mentioned, the drop type almost never go bad.
The 2 100 ohm grid resistors, perhaps, out of circuit,one was 112 and the other 120, but as far as i know they can't cause much of a problem , not as much as the cathode resistors which where OK.
Poked around the sync area, and found the schematic to be completely wrong!

checking resistors in the area, i saw that there was more then shown on the diagrams.
and looking at the schematic it hit me, WHERE IS THE sync leveler getting power from?
Poking around for a while, I find that the plate P5 is tied to ground, and the cathode to -100 via a resistor. same for the grid, very diff from what is seen on the schematic .
