Good evening; I have no idea how your setup works, but Since you have a swollen cap
that seems like a good place to begin.... Post a pic of it, and of the board it is on, and
where the wires from that board go- Since it's a projection set, it's old enough for
us here to understand it.... Also, it might be a good idea for you to replace that
cap and look around for others that may also be bad.... Testing it would be a cool
idea too, do you have a cap tester? Adapters for example those that convert
"new" signals to work on "old" tv's often don't always work perfectly, so you
may have to invest in more than one type, or brand of those gadgets....
Focus on what you can see - follow through on the possible swollen cap
show us where it is.... Never seen the sideways jitter in your video, If
I were to guess Looks like the Horiz sync is locking on noise of some
kind. Does the tv work OK on other period correct signal sources?
Does that tv have a comb filter? Maybe there are power supply
caps going bad..... Does that tv accept regular old style Analog
signals? Or an I off in left field.....?
