I think the late 50s is about right. I couldn't find it on the European site Radiomuseum.org, but the Metz 205 looks similar. I'm a member there, so I can get to all the content - some, like schematic diagrams, are limited to members. Is there a tube list on the back? That would help narrow it down. Tubes can be found without much trouble - except "eye' tubes - most other parts are generic. Most Euro radios go for $30-40, though the top-of-the-line models (large, usually stereo) can bring quite a bit more.
